A replica with an assigned Synchronizer. The Synchronizer delivers changes to and receives changes from other replicas in the set.

Note If you do not assign a Synchronizer to a replica, you can still synchronize it in your application's code or by using another Synchronizer. However, you cannot set synchronization schedules from this replica unless you assign a Synchronizer to the replica.
